WUFT SPORTS ANCHOR

2017 - 2019

On alternating Wednesdays, Justin brought North Central Florida their local sports news on WUFT's First at Five newscast. When he wasn't bringing charismatic energy to the viewers, Justin was helping produce the sports segment for his fellow anchors.
He also gained valuable experience behind the camera, shooting local high school sports and a variety of Florida Gators sporting events.

HAWTHORNE MINI DOCUMENTARY

Fall 2018

The town of Hawthorne was on the brink of shutting down. Poor grades plagued the town's only high school and caught notice from the state. Find out how the town kept the doors open, and see how many of its citizens and students found solace and enjoyment under the Friday Night Lights through every obstacle.
(This mini documentary was done solely by Justin, with advice and guidance provided by professor Eric Esterline.)

A hybrid reporter in the Innovation News Center, Justin often contributed to the local news portion of the WUFT First at Five newscast as well.
He turned multiple packages as a MMJ and anchored the newscast on multiple occasions.

AROUND THE BEN-D

2018

Running the pilot program for alligatorSports, Justin was the founder of Around the Ben-d, a video series talking about the latest news in Gator athletics. During the Spring 2018 semester, Justin was the anchor and writer for the segment and was the first to bring this type of content to the paper's sports department.
